The norm group for a project is the ‘comparison group’, to which the individuals in your project will be compared to, which provides an indication of their resilience and wellbeing in relation to other people.
Previously, Wraw used a norm group of four hundred (N=400), but this has been updated in May 2022 with the adoption of a larger (N=9,000) norm group and shows the ongoing commitment to consistently developing and updating the tool.
The new Global Worker norm group contains 9000 participants from 82 countries. There is a broad representation of countries with 61% of the norm group being UK-based.
We highly recommend that you use this norm group for all new projects going forward as it is more representative of the global working population. It is set as the default norm group on the Wraw platform.
The old norm group of 400 participants is still valid and reliable, but we recommend that this one is only used if there are projects currently underway. This norm group will be discontinued in the near future.
Full details of the demographics of the new 9k norm group will be in the Technical Manual Version 2 which will be published during the latter half of 2022.
