Comparison Figures
When running a Team report, the results of a Team are compared against the comparison group. The numbers in the black circle is the number of expected frequencies related to the comparison group. So it shows how many people you would expect to score in that banding, on average, (based on the standard distribution). The numbers against the Y axis are the actual results for the team.
The results are displayed as per the image below and are calculated for each pillar.
In this example there were 34 contributors to the Team report.
Why do the comparison figures not add up to the total number of contributors?
To facilitate that calculation against the comparison group the banding is calculated against a decimal percentage figure, which is then rounded down, as often the exact figure is a decimal. This is what has occurred in this instance, hence why when added together they appear to be 1 short.
